Lin Yu Chun’s impression of Whitney Houston

Lin Yu Chun’s impression of Whitney Houston

Lin Yu Chun’s impression of Whitney Houston’s  “I will always Love you” Lin Yu Chun is being called “New YouTube Sensation” and “The Next Susan Boyle” I was watching this video and it left me with a profound feeling. I was thinking to myself, this kid has so much Ambition. You can hear it in the way he phrases his notes. The care taken from years of practice and training. Running those scales everyday because it connected with him and felt great like nothing else before. You can feel the concentration in his voice. Jusssst missing a note and quickly bending into it and making it feel almost stylistic, and then those he nails perfectly. Ambition is an amazing thing and is a key to any success but I think it is a pretty common trait. I know loads of people who are ambitious. In fact I don’t think I personally know anyone who doesn’t have ambition in some form. Even kids at school who were demeaned “un-ambitious” were, just not towards school. I remember the drawings they did in their notebooks of awesome trail bikes and worlds they were making up in Math. The other equal to this equation is Initiative. Initiative mean to act… To take action and do something. This is not as common as ambition and probably not as misused. It’s the power to be able to go and do something. People who have initiative do things without being asked. Before something is obvious. They just do something even if its wrong. I have known many people who could not sit still. They had so...

My new Fender Jazzmaster

My new Fender Jazzmaster

Jazzmaster! Jazzmaster! Jazzmaster! Well im putting it out there that this is the coolest guitar ever made…. The New Fender Jazzmaster in Black with the turtle shell Scratch plate. By far this Jazzmaster is awesome. I have been playing it for over a year now and it just keeps getting better and better. Check out this picture and Im sure you will agree. Jazzmaster. Not unlike the Jaguar, But its Jazzmaster all the way in my eyes. It has the slide in the body like the Firebird but its a Fender. I find it plays like the Tellecaster but you can kind of get Strat sounds from it. The high volume pick ups are awesome. The extra output is great and I can play it with the volume on 8 and still get big fat tones. Winding it into 10 gives you a nice lift and a touch of break up that picks up the Solos. This Jazzmaster is a lot personal feel. It has that strat melt in your fingers feel about it. Notes bend well and stays in tune perfectly. It does feel different to all my other guitars and I write unique music on it. I love to play Jazz Blues solo music on it. This has the feel of an old Jazzmaster, the Tone of a modern Jazzmaster and the playability of a Strat. I will be getting use to it for years to come. Update on my Fender Jazzmaster. So I have had this guitar for 3 years now. I STILL LOVE IT. The only thing I changed was the set up and string...

Slash on Songwriting and the Importance of Playing Live.

This is a great video that helps understand the importance of play live when ever possible. He also looks at his style of writing and his approach to being creative. Some of the important points I got from this video….. 1. The impotance of re-writing a song. Take the idea you have and get it down fast so you can come back at any time and re-work it. 2. Find the way that suits you best and get good at it. This is important because the way you go about doing something always affects the out come. 3. Playing live. This is something I always notice. The more you play live the better your playing gets. Hope you enjoyed and got something that will help in your writing and playing. Leave a comment and let me know what you...
Jazzmaster Guitar by Fender

Jazzmaster Guitar by Fender

Originally designed as a Jazz Guitar the Jazzmaster was quickly taken up by surf guitarists in the late 1950’s. The Jazzmaster has stood the test of time and this issue, “The Classic Jazzmaster” has been reissued with a few tweaks. The bridge has been moved forward to increase the break and the pick ups are crazy HOT!!!. I have owned on of these for a few years and it is a great guitar. I recommend the Jazzmaster to anyone who wants a bitty tone a reasonably fast neck and great playability. Jazzmaster Classic… Get one…....
